  • How can I make the text size bigger on the site?

    You can make the text size bigger by changing the text size setting on your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer you can do this by going to View on the top menu bar, then Text Size and choosing a different size. If you are using Mozilla Firefox and Safari go to View on the top menu bar and then Text Zoom and choose to make the text bigger.

  • I find that the colours on the website make it hard for me to read. Can I change them?

    If you find that the colours used on the website make it hard for you to read then you can change them to ones that suit you better. 

    If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser go to Tools in the top menu bar and then choose Internet Options. Click on the 'Colours' button and click in the box next to 'Use Windows colours' to take the tick out. Click on the colour next to 'Text' or 'Background' to choose from a list of colours for the ones you want to use and Click 'OK'. 

    If you are using Mozilla Firefox and Safari as your browser go to 'Edit' in the top menu bar and then choose 'Preferences'. Click on the arrow next to 'Appearance' on the left-hand side and then on 'Colours' in the list that appears underneath. Click on the colours next to 'Text' and 'Background' to choose from a list of colours for the ones you want to use. Lastly, click in the circle next to 'Use my chosen colours, ignoring the colours and background image specified' and click 'OK'.

  • What security measures are in place on the TD Waterhouse website?

    The website is 128-bit encrypted and you are required to enter a unique username and 3 random characters from your password to access your account. As a further security measure you must enter an additional password before dealing or withdrawing cash from your account. You may choose to disable this extra password for dealing purposes but not for cash withdrawals.

  • Which browser is best to use for the TD Waterhouse Website?

    The web browsers that we recommend to get the best results using the TD Waterhouse website are Mozilla Firefox v2/v3 or Internet Explorer v6.0/v7.0/v8.0 and Safari can be used but currently cause issues when accessing the Portfolio page.

  • Which screen resolution is best to display the TD Waterhouse website?

    For the best display we recommend that you choose a screen resolution of 1024x768 or above. Please use the following steps to change your screen resolution.  

    Windows XP users:  Minimize all windows and right click on your desktop. From the menu that appears select Properties. A new window will then open on screen. From the new window click the settings tab: You then need to use the slide control to increase the resolution to 1024x768 then click Apply.

    Windows Vista users:  Minimize all windows and right click on your desktop. From the menu that appears select personalize. A new window will open on screen from which you should select display settings to adjust your screen resolution to 1024x768.

  • Which web browser works best with the TD Waterhouse website if I am using an Apple Mac?

    We recommend that you use Firefox v2.0 or above as your web browser if you are using an Apple Mac to access the site.

    Safari can be used but currently causes issues when accessing the Portfolio page.
